    Fitness History
    When I moved to Oregon in 1994, I tipped the scales at over 300 pounds. Since I was a sophomore in high school, I decided to get my fat arse to the gym and lose it. By the time I graduates, I was down to 217 and had a BFI low enough to get into the Army. Well, I got injured in Boot Camp and decided that I’d just do my own thing.

    After a really bad break-up, I decided to commit suicide by fitness. I spent up to 4 hours a day at the gym before I was finally offered a job (possibly out of Stockholm Syndrome). That meant that I was at the gym for between 10 and 14 hours a day. When I went back into the Army, I was 225 and 9% BFI. I actually lost muscle mass in Basic Training because there were no weights.

    In the Army, I continued with my fitness levels. I never made height/weight, but I scored over the 90% level on my PT scores and never taped under 18% BFI. I attended Air Assault and Pathfinder schools and even went Master Fitness Trainer. Then, I deployed.

    Due to injuries I suffered in the Army, I got out and wasn’t able to fully workout to my greatest extent. After an issue last year, I was overcome by depression and ceased working out altogether. Now, I’m starting again from scratch and hope to go from Blob back to Colossus!

    Goals
    I’ve always been a firm believer in setting goals for myself. I don’t believe in actually setting numbers, but will on occasion. Here are my goals:

    Short (3 months): Lower my BFI to 29.7% (Oct-2016)
    Medium (6 months): Lower my BFI to 27.8% (Jan-2016)
    Long (12 months): Lower my BFI to 23.9% (Jul-2016)

    (They will be replaced with actual number goals in the near future).
