YOu don’t have to register to vote in Germany or like in the states register with a political party as well. When you turn 18 you are considered a full adult by law and all you have to do show up at your local school with your license to vote. Not that the political system is any easier than here since they have more parties in the parlament and its actually considered a federation not a republic. Germany used to be called the Federal German Republic – hmmm, sounds a bit familiar, doesn’t it?
