    Been awhile since I read the book but if I recall correctly it is similar to pushing hands and other similar techniques. where the idea is to give ground when the opponent pushes forward and do so in a back and forth way. The idea is to yield before the actual push is felt. But remain in contact the whole time. It’s a sensory technique like sticky palm also. Where you gauge the persons movements and adjust as he/she is making them so that they basically can’t shift away from you so to speak. In the book it’s a technique that the Jedi are performing with each other and teach to a couple of the clone troopers. But like I said it’s been awhile since I read it.

    I have read about 75-80% of all Barnes’ work.  Like his writing style.

    Perry’s “97th Step” was based on Silat.

    So, plenty of good stories referencing martial arts styles and moves.

    Sticky hands is also used in Aikido practice at times.
