This is akin to the older ‘energy/body aura’ cleansing routines which did not call for any water at all…. merely one standing to be ‘cleansed’ while another used ‘clawing/combing’ like motions to break up and remove energy blocks or congested areas. The other similarity is the finishing move of ‘flicking the hands’ to symbolically ‘fling off the offending energy globs’.May 10, 2009 at 2:33 am #151146Jedi_PhoenixModerator
I actually like the addition of water to this exercise. Partly because I work well and align well with water, but also because it aides in my visualization of riding negative energy! but to each their own :meditateMay 10, 2009 at 2:37 am #151147JaxKeymaster
The water adds to the cleansing. Yes, you can do this without water, but it’s not as easy to release all the negative energy that you’re pulling then. And if you aren’t cleansing fully, you’re just transferring that negative energy from your chakra to your hands. I’m constantly getting nagged to clean my hands (energetically that is) after any healing work, because I don’t do it often enough. I don’t think most people realize how much they pick up, so adding the water takes some guess work out of the process.July 17, 2009 at 1:37 am #151945RiddleNoxModerator
Does anyone have a good method for opening your Chakras? I have been searching, but I cannot seem to find a reliable source.July 17, 2009 at 2:09 am #151948JaxKeymaster
I’d point you toward Robert Bruce. He goes through it in his 90 days to astral projection book. However, you’ll find simply doing the chakra cleanse daily helps a lot. I’m not convinced it’s beneficial to purposely activate any one chakra, as that just puts you out of balance. You’re also at risk of doing too much too fast and hurting yourself in the process. Plus, it naturally develops as you develop. Give the cleansing a try for a while and see just how much it helps you, and check out Robert’s writing. Maintain balance and you should be alright.July 17, 2009 at 2:45 am #151949RiddleNoxModerator
Trust me… I am ALL about balance.July 17, 2009 at 2:50 am #151950JaxKeymaster
Then I think you’ll like Robert Bruce’s technique. Are you familiar with him? For an all around method that includes chakra work, meditation, trance, and astral projection training, I recommend Mastering astral Projection. We’ve studied it here, at least for a month or so before the time was too much. But it’s a good book and a solid method. He also has a book called Energy Work which is focused just on energy work. I own it, but haven’t read it :redface However based on my experiences with him (in books and in a seminar) I recommend any of his works. The Energy Work book is more focused and shorter. I am not familiar, but I am sure I will enjoy him! I will definitely look into it.July 17, 2009 at 3:02 am #151952JaxKeymaster
He’s a very cool, large, bald Australian. lol That’s interesting enough for me! Oh, and he knows what he’s talking about.July 17, 2009 at 3:41 am #151953RiddleNoxModerator
I have found that MOST Australians tend to know what they’re talking about… especially when they are bald.
