    Tonight is perhaps the best meteor shower of the year, with the Perseid meteor shower.  You can view it from any direction, and since the moon will not interfere this is probably the best chance to see it for a while.  As an added bonus, Mars is a nice bright red dot in the northeastern sky.  I know I for one will be sitting outside on my porch for a few hours tonight.  Peak time will be the early morning hours of sunday, I think, but that doesn’t mean you won’t see meteors. 

    If people would be willing to share anything they thought about while watching for meteors, that would be interesting too.  :-)
