So today I decided to call in to the podcast since I was home and the topics were interesting. I found myself coming up with ideas on the fly actually so it was fun.  Anyway, if anyone wants to give tonight’s chat a listen, or any others you can find them here: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/knights-of-awakening

If you want to hear what I sound like, there you go. lol I talked to him after about doing a segment about the Institute and Academy when we get the next round of classes ready for early 2011 and he’s totally into the idea.  It should be fun.

Since most of the callers are from Ashla, they know each other but Derek does a pretty good job checking in on everyone.  Overall the hour went really fast, we only hit on two topics, but it was interesting discussion.  I’ll try to make the next one.  I hope some of you do too, even if you don’t call in.  It’s cool to just listen and post in the chat room.

    Gotta Say, Jax –

That voice was not what I was expecting!  Because I always imagine you a Texan – I always hear you as a Molly Ivins type of voice…  Instead – I hear the same Upper Midwestern accent as my own.

Voices so often surprise me – love it!

(Glad to hear some new voices on the Jedi Radio Show!)

Remember I only came here for school 6 years ago. ;-) Most of the rest of my life was spent in Wisconsin. lol

    Talk about a Jedi trial…  :-

Sorry … just very hard to sit through for me.
And, pretty much the same for their forum…

‘course, my opinion… others may eat this stuff up.

I understand Kol.  It all depends on the topics and such.  But also, I wanted to call in to provide a different perspective.  It’s also a good exercise for me to think on my feet and control my nerves.  It took a while to get settled in and think fast enough.  Online it’s so much easier to take the time to think of an intelligent response.  Not that time is always taken, but it’s at least an option. ;-)

    True that.

It was one thing to teach/tutor one on one in college; another to be a squad leader in a platoon or having to give a ‘lecture’ on the company capabilites to a room full of colonels and a general.  Totally a different thing then training a company on software or giving the ‘quarterly review’ in front of the CEO of the division or taking the podium at a weekend seminar to talk about the pros and cons for small businesses forced into meeting government requirements using what was then the ‘latest electronic standard’ for electronic sales, orders, and processing.

They were all ‘opportunities’ (some more welcome then others, trust me) and some were almost fun in the end.

Guess I will have to bite the bullet (or lightsaber?) and listen in to see how long it is before you have your own blogtalk radio hour.  :ponder

hahaha… I can’t imagine that happening.  It involves far too much planning, scheduling, too many things I’m not particularly good at or find enjoyable. :-)  I’ll challenge those areas in other arenas.
