I’m not sure if I can set it up easily to give someone else access. But, you can simply use the search link and buy anything as well. It’s easier to have the book store, but the search box is handy for anything.May 20, 2010 at 2:50 pm #154714MemnoichParticipant
I might be blind, or not looking in the right place, but I’m not seeing any search link. I’m in Firefox, so let me check under IE and see if maybe it’s a browser issue.
Nope not seeing it under IE either.May 20, 2010 at 3:29 pm #154715JaxKeymaster
It’s the link titled Amazon home page. But here it is as well: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect?tag=institute_for_jedi_realist_studies-20&path=subst/home/home.htmlMay 20, 2010 at 5:20 pm #154716Kol DrakeModerator
Really surprised the list did not include “A Book of Five Rings” (Go Rin No Sho), a book on strategy, tactics, and philosophy by Miyamoto Musashi.
Or, “The Unfettered Mind: Writings from a Zen Master to a Master Swordsman” by Takuan Soho (Author) and William Scott Wilson (Translator). A read which presents new ways of understanding the “enlightenment” of mastering an art.May 20, 2010 at 5:48 pm #154717JaxKeymaster
It’s not in there? Weird. It’s not easy to create a bookstore, especially online. I know as soon as I get there I forget all the stuff I thought of earlier. lol I’ll see if it even loads here, but I don’t think it will until I get home.May 20, 2010 at 8:21 pm #154719MemnoichParticipant
the book of five rings is in there, under warrior principles and ethics.
Ahh, found the link, just not where I would have expected it to be.May 20, 2010 at 11:51 pm #154722JaxKeymaster
Yeah, the bookstore is setup in a way that makes sense, from a certain point of view. That’s part of what needs to be updated. lolMay 21, 2010 at 11:56 am #154725YoshioModerator
Yeah, the bookstore setup is a little lets say interesting! So it was just yesterday, after I had read this thread, that I found out that there are different chapters/sections in which you could look for books.
But anyway I do have an other question, is there a possibility, as Memnoich said that I too want that IJRS get a cut of it from the books I buy, to search on the German amazon homepage?May 21, 2010 at 7:45 pm #154726JaxKeymaster
Click the link I shared, it will go to amazon, from there you should be able to move around to other areas, but I don’t really know. It’ll take ages for me to figure it out on this internet. lol you can try just changing the link address to the extension for the german amazon page (no clue what that is though)September 13, 2010 at 8:03 pm #155976MacgilleonParticipant
Hey, Under the Survival Section I would recommend The SAS survival Handbook By John “Lofty” Wiseman I have an ancient copy of it here at home that I picked up Years ago and since it’s been revised and updated A great read and very helpful as a quick ref.
