As one interested in symbology… I can’t help but notice the logo.
For symbols, we’ve got some things going there…
A shield, for one.
Also a sword.
The hand with the glowing sphere in the upper left (gamma quadrant?)
The scoll in the lower right.
The four quadrants themselves, each a different color… blue, green, grey, yellow.
I have no idea what any of them were intended to represent. One thing that did pop in my head typing out the colors… three of those correpsond to the light saber color/class scheme of KOTOR (not sure how KOTOR-specific that was in the broader expanded universe). Gray as maybe representing balance?

Green is the color of life. Yellow is related to knowledge i believe. Grey for the unknown. Forgot blue. I’ll try to find the old explanation.

lol, when I first read this title, I thought you were shielding our site hahahahah
But no, the scroll represents the academy portion, and our continual strive for knowledge
The hand with the glowing ball represents our connection to the Force and energy work
And the sword represents…chivalry? Don’t quite remember…
As for the colors, don’t remember either hahahah, I should know this :-[ :-[
Now that I’m home I can elaborate a little.
Yellow is a color associated with clarity of mind which is why it’s the quadrant of knowledge (the scroll).
Blue is a healing color and associated with the energy work quadrant.
Green is the color of life which is obviously a major aspect of the Force.
Gray is left blank and symbolizes all that we have yet to discover on the path.
The sword is a nod to the warrior spirit required on the Jedi path.

Does the explanation make sense? Unfortunately the original planning discussion has been lost to website crashes or something. The shield itself was a collaborative effort. Kai-an was involved, hopefully she’ll see this and weigh in. I believe a few others offered major design ideas but it’s been quite a few years. This is just what I remember. We do need to write up something official for those who are wondering as the shield is representative of us.
Yup, I think the only thing we left out was the shield-shape itself… but otherwise yes…
Defenders of the galaxy? lol
Works for me.
Or at least, defenders of common decency.
