Have you told people about being a Jedi?

I’m very curious as to how this breaks down.  Please, if you feel at all comfortable, leave a comment for your vote.  You don’t have to go into detail, but this information is important for determining future policy.  Thank you for your time!

Without going into age, I have quite a few trusted adults and friends who know I am a Jedi.  Some have tried it themselves even.

The adults were welcoming and kind of joked around to make me feel better because they could tell I was taking this very seriously. 

As for my friends….it was a mixed.  I expected many of them to just dismiss the idea and prepared myself for that.  HOWEVER, they all were very supportive and some even had discussions with me.

My husband and children know. I haven’t bothered with the rest of my family.

I think a jedi should tell someone they trust, and that is responsible.  Then I would follow the ‘dont ask, dont tell’ idea.  I mean if we go around bragging about it, then yes, we may get negative reactions.  So it is best to just keep it within the walls of who you truly trust(its not like you need to hide it, but don’t be rash about revealing it type of thing.)  Also, you don’t HAVE to use the word Jedi.  You could just say you have found a spiritual path and you follow x,y, and z.  And leave it at that.

I’ve told a few people. I could probably count them on one hand. They are very supportive of me.

I’ve told my parents, and no one else.  They weren’t supportive at first, being Christian, but as time went on I think they realized how important it is to me.

I’ve told a bunch of different people all with varying results. Some either dismiss it or ridicule me for it, while others were very supportive and actually gave it a try themselves.

I’ve told a few select non jedi friends, 2 just accepted
that I believe in the force even though they don’t believe
in it themselves, one would debate with me about it …
