Jjaden Orion
ParticipantI am a 28 year old solitary student of Taoism and Zen with other shamanistic tendencies. I have been studying them for the past year. It is a strange mix, as some of the core philosophies are very uncomplimentary.
I have always been a fan of the Jedi in the Star Wars movies, but could never explain why I was so drawn to them. I have come to realize that through this fictional piece of work, a spiritual path was born that envelopes my personal beliefs into a whole! This is very exciting to me, especially now that I can meet people JUST LIKE ME.
The great thing about Jedi is that they truly do strive for balance. This is very important to me.
Anyways…Greetings all! I hope you come to accept me as one of your own!

ParticipantAh, but it is inherent within Jedi Realist philosophy that any who wish to share our path are automatically accepted as one of us, Jjaden. We don’t get picky about things like that – if we exist as Jedi, it seems only appropriate that we share ourselves with others like us: our thoughts, hopes and aspirations, as well as knowledge, experiential wisdom and friendship. If you are concerned about that, consider such a thing extended to you, from me and likely from everyone else here.
Sufficed to say, we never ignore a kindred spirit, as long as they remain such, and sometimes, even after that
So, yes, welcome to TJA.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask them. Our doors are, excepting times with high winds or a good chill factor, always open

KeymasterWelcome! I look forward to seeing what you have to share. Have you considered registering for courses?

ParticipantThank you Aslyn.
I have thought about it, Jax. Have you taken any?

Participant*smiles*
Jjaden, Jax runs the Academy. A few of the courses are run by her, and she is aware of the content of all the others currently available.

KeymasterEven though I’m in charge here, I do plan to take some of the classes in the future. Unfortunately, between my many paying jobs, and my unpaid job here, there isn’t time. But, I will say that we put a lot of thought into the courses, so hopefully you’ll consider taking some and seeing what you learn. If you have any suggestions, we also like to hear those.

ParticipantI think I have missed the registration for them. Does the academy take late entries?
September 24, 2007 at 12:16 pm #146385Jax
KeymasterWe let you know when registration closes. it’s typically two weeks into the term. So you’re fine enrolling now as you won’t be behind yet. But I would do it sooner rather than later, as it gets more difficult to catch up after even a week.
