I know, it’s only October and the holidays are months away. But this was on my mind now. Is anyone interested in a Christmas or other Holiday card exchange? It could be a fun way to make this all feel more ‘real’. If so, what’s the best way to share addresses? For those concerned about privacy perhaps we can organize the addresses into a list and sent to those involved. Thoughts?

We could do an exchange, that would be fun! Not sure what your full intent with the exchange is, but if some people are concerned about privacy, we can always do e-cards or something of that nature and send it via email which is still fun but a little less intimidating.
Just a thought, but I support the idea
I just mean it’s not necessarily a good idea to post mailing addresses on a public forum. But I want to send real, physical cards. E-cards are definitely not the same.

I’d be happy to do so, and it’s not too early yet considering what the mail systems become like in December.
Exactly! And international post is far worse than domestic I’ll know my new address in about a week, but I wanted to get this idea started before I forgot and it got too late.

I support the idea too and I’m sure that it would be a lot of fun! So, have you already decided how you would collect the mail addresses? Should we sent it to you, Master Jax, by PN and you make a list?

I’m still waiting to hear back from our new apartment complex to know which apartment we’re getting. Once I do I’ll have my address to share as well. If anyone else wants to send their address to me now that’s fine as well. I’ll make another announcement later in the month and we’ll se how many can be involved.

Personally I don’t like the idea of sharing a physical address, but I do like the idea of eCards. Also, I’m not going to have much money this Christmas and I’m to the point of wondering if I’m even going to send physical cards to family and friends. I probably will to at least some of them, but if I’m pondering this, I don’t think it would be feasible to make the list any longer.
Nothing wrong with ecards
I need to block out some time to do this once I’m more unpacked. I do have my new address which is on facebook for all my friends on there. If you want my address just send me a pm. Ok folks, time to send me your mailing address so I can make a list and pass it to you. Time is passing quickly!
