Ever since I went to Antarctica I find it one of the most fascinating places on Earth. I hope to take a trip to search for meteorites in the dry valleys some day. Discover Magazine has a really nice special focus on Antarctica that I’ve been exploring today. There are awesome pictures. I thought I’d share for others as well. Many of us dream of exploring space, but there are some amazing places to explore on our planet still too. :-) Enjoy!

With all of the stories throughout history, related to Antarctica, I’ve always wanted to visit, and just wonder what might be lost there, waiting to be found. From the stories of H.P. Lovecraft, to the conspiracies of the Nazi’s and WWII, to the stories of aliens and the Piri Reis Map, there is just so much that isn’t known about the true Antarctica.

It’s going to be such an amazing area to explore. So much is buried beneath all that ice!
