    Hello all,

If you don’t know me, I’m Moonshadow, one of the Administrators of the Jedi Resource Center / Jedi Gatherings Group.  Every year we host a Jedi Gathering and I wanted to let you know about the Michigan Gathering coming up this summer.

If you aren’t familiar with the concept of Jedi Gatherings, Gatherings are basically a 3-4 day camping trip during which Jedi and other interested parties come together in real life to share, learn, and apply the real-life aspects of being a Jedi.  These Gatherings usually include people from all over the world and are always a lot of fun and a great chance to meet fellow Jedi offline.  We’ve stepped things up a bit this year and rather than tenting or cabins, the Gathering will be held in a retreat center with fully catered meals.

    Here are the details:

I’ll be continually updating the detailed posts as new information becomes available.  Thanks!  And hope to see you there!

I would love to attend.  However, it is impossible for me to know if this is a possibility.  My wife is rather ill, we’re trying to expedite her disability claim, and I’m working toward certifying at work.  I can’t plan even a day out, much less months.  But I will keep it in mind as a possibility.

I would like to encourage those who can attend to do so.  Jedi Gatherings can be many things.  Even when they are less than awesome you will learn a lot about yourself and fellow Jedi.  This sounds like it will be a good time and more comfortable than fighting the raccoons and mosquitoes of Louisiana!  :D

Of course, this one is definitely going to be awesome …I’ll be there.

Seriously, these gatherings are great ways of connecting with your fellow Jedi. While I have made many friends online, when I encountered them in person, those ties were solidified. I can truly call the people I have met, my Jedi sisters and brothers.

This gathering is a little more than 3 months away. Start making your plans if you wish to attend. It would be great to see many of you there.

Since I don’t have time to explore at JRC, was anyone going to be able to videotape any of the workshops?  It’d be awesome if it was possible.  :-)

P.S. Jax, we’ve taken short videos in the past.  If people have the right cameras again, I’ll be sure to post them at the JRC.  Might just take a while.

That’d be great if you can.  I know how difficult it can be, so there’s no pressure.  It looks like you guys will have a great time.  Beyond money and health, I’m looking at a job change hopefully soon so I really can’t swing it this year.  I look forward to having a less intense job soon where I can more easily take vacation for gatherings. :-)

    Have a great time!
