Yeelan, I’ll back up what Jade said about type 2 diabetes and suggest you also look into getting their chi moving. The lifestyle that can cause diabetes also interferes with the healthy flow of chi, and when the chi stagnates, it becomes a self-continuing cycle – the chi stagnates because of bad food and a stagnating body, and because the chi stagnates there is no energy to change the food or the lifestyle.
I believe the FDA had a purpose when it was created, and it for a long time served that purpose well. I also belive that today, with private third party investigators, such as Consumer Reports, the FDA is no longer necesary, and has proven to have been corrupted past the point of usefulness. The natural health community is not the only one getting messed up by the FDA. The mental health community as well has been heavily damaged by the influence of pharmaceuticals on the FDA. (All but one of the doctors on the panel to approve Prozac were recieving million dollar research grants from the same company that made it! Even if prozac didn’t have all the problems it does, there is no way that was a fair and unbiased hearing) If anyone is interested in info on the FDA and mental health, I suggest looking up Peter Breggin. He’s a psychologist(or psychiatrist, I can’t remember which) who’s put out several books citing the original research, and how it’s being ignored by the FDA and pharm. companies.
