Well my head didn’t explode while listening to the cd, but I had another distraction that was almost as big. It was cold last night and I lay on the couch to listen to it, and my cat jumped straight up on my chest, and then started licking my chin. I recommend this as a test to see if people can meditate through distractions, btw. Eventually he settled down and I was able to focus a bit more.

The brainwave CD had various sounds at different frequencies, almost but not quite like music. Eventually I got very relaxed and felt a bit floaty and almost like I was rocking from side to side. I started getting pictures in my head, it was the room I was in but I could float up and touch the ceiling. But when I touched the ceiling, it was like touching water, the ‘ceiling’ first adhered to my fingers slightly, then ripples spread out across it as I withdrew my hand. I wondered if I had managed this astral travel thing, but then thought that since I could still feel my body and the cat I probably hadn’t. I decided to see where my imagination led me though and thought of visiting my US friends. So I ‘sped’ across the darkened landscape of Australia, across the moon-touched waves of the sea, across the just-awakening US and imagined going to a little white house with slightly peeling paint (only saw it for a moment) and saw Andrea. I placed my right hand against her left cheek and yelled at her ‘Its Inari! I’m here! Can you hear me?’ She looked a little bewildered and turned away.

I went next to Jax’s place, Jax was going to work and Carrie was sitting on the couch looking bleary eyed. I tried to get Jax’s attention, but was not able to. I went over to Carrie and tried with her, was not successful. I decided at that point that it was my imagining, and I could do what I liked, so I clasped Carrie on either side of her head and tried to send the Force through to heal her pain (hey, it was worth a try). I then thought it was time to return ‘cos it was getting late, so I did.

So, I’m not sure if its all my imagination or not, but if it was at least my creativity is being stimulated, which is something.

Now, for my dream this morning, I dreamed I was at my work, late at night and most of my workmates were there as well and we were all a bit stressed. Finally I got to go home, to an apartment instead of a house. I got my tea (rice, meat, mango picu, must have liked that in the US) and was just about to eat when the dream got weird. There were some ants near my food, and they started to sing. A beatles song. Then I looked around and there was a daddy long-legs spider wearing a tiny little white jumpsuit and go-go boots and doing the swim and other ’60’s dances. I decided I couldn’t kill them because how often does one come across singing ants? OR dancing spiders?

Yep, really got that creativity going…
