My Day 1 dream:
This morning I had a very odd dream. There was a bunch that happened first that I can’t remember, but there were certainly military elements to it. Then, I heard weird noises coming from outside (we were in an attached shed or something) when I see a very very thin funnel cloud. I watched it long enough to figure out the path when I realized it was heading right towards us. I yelled at all the kids playing outside to take cover. It wasn’t very strong, thankfully, but who wants to find out just how strong a tornado is? So I head to the back of the shed and find a steel table that is anchored to the floor. There is a kid nearby who it seems was in a wheelchair, though not at that moment. I shelter her under me and try to grab hold of the table as best I can. The tornado passes quickly and it’s over.
After I see that all our gear staged at the front of the shed is now strewn in a line going into the next lot which is separated by a fence. A group of people comes down from another direction to help get the stuff. I wanted to help but couldn’t find my other boot. Oh, and someone said that I saved a bunch of lives or something. Who knows.
It was interesting that I didn’t feel scared, only nervous because I didn’t know how the tornado would affect me. Turns out it just threw my stuff around. lol As for meaning, is that representative of an emotional storm barreling it’s way through society? Or something else similar. I can warn and shelter a few, but in the end few people are actually harmed anyway. We just end up a bit disheveled from the experience. Hmm…I don’t really know though.
