This sounds a lot like some things I’ve discovered kind of on my own. The “spongey” feeling you’re talking about is kind of like sensing electromagnetic fields with your hands. I’ve discovered that anything living puts this out, as well as electrified fields, such as those emitted by a CRT, or even a computer. I can navigate through the woods blindfolded without touching any of the trees… though when I’m looking, it goes quite a lot faster. I use this “spongey” feeling to tell when I’m near something. I occasionally feel something when there’s nothing there, but I almost never touch anything when I’m focusing on it.
The photo is an overexposure, and these occur on occasion when something happens to the film. It could have been a manufacturing defect, an error in processing, or even where someone opened the camera. Most of the energy shots I’ve seen are far more colourful. This looks like a simple overexposure. Of course, I’m no expert.
As for feeling heat, I’ve only felt heat when there has been a significant amount of resistance to doing something. I sometimes know when someone is doing Reiki in the next room, though I have been wrong on more than one occasion (“wrong” being because I said nothing was happening when something was, both times).
I have nobody near me at the moment whom I feel comfortable with experimenting with, but in my solitary studies I’ve found most of what you have been talking about to be true.
