So then is the True self ALWAYs at peace?  If so, how do we find our true self?  How do we discern our egotistic self?

For me, when  I see that I am becoming emotional towards something(I could say it was a desire, but more like an attachment(which might be a synonym for desire). )  Anyways, I have to look with in and assess why I am becoming emotional.  Sometimes, in my opinion, it is good to express these emotions, to learn about them so we can understand them. 

I don’t think we can find our true self until we have passed from this life.  I think the true self is the one we are searching to find…some deeper part that we attempt to express.  Emotions(at least in my experience) used to be a gateway AWAY from my truer self.  It distorted what it looked like.(Reminds me of the blank slate theory…)

Anyways, enough of a tangent.  your post really has me thinking now lol
