That doesn’t make JKD the best though. It makes it good philosophically. Except, it still involves destroying your opponant, which does not fit with my spirituality at all, and thus wouldn’t make it best for me. It’s still a hard style martial art, even if it includes redirection and such. That’s why, for me, I see a style like aikido that minimizes damage to the opponant while neutralizing the situation best for me, and in my opinion for the Jedi. But that’s simply on the spiritual grounds I have given. It’s useful to know a hard style so you have that to pull out of your bag of tricks if necessary.
