in order to answer this, one must define “self”. You are not your feelings, your interests, your desires, your attatchments, your dreams, your beliefs, your principals, your love for others, your personal affinities, your quarks, your scars, your blessings, none of these. Strip them all away and you are left with the true Self. One cannot not love the true Self, it is love in pure form, it is compassion and light and energy and consciousness beyond seperateness, beyond the dualities of us and them, he and she, this and that, when one is Self realized one acts without attatchment to the egoistic self and thusly everything he does is love and balance.
