That’s a really good analogy Xhaiden. That makes sense to me.
There is a bit of an ambiguity though, because only an individual then knows if they are a Jedi or not. This is fine for the individual, but for the outside observer, it isn’t very clear if a person is serious or not, at least not right away.
Also, when does a person cease to be a Jedi? When they have given up the path? When they have strayed too far? All of this goes into standards, which has been discussed many times in many ways. Any individual can know if they are Jedi or not, assuming they posses self awareness (which a Jedi needs to have). But how does an observer determine this?
