I had some issues accessing the site yesterday due to the web security blocks at work, so I'll be entering both Wednesday and Thursday today.

Wednesday Meditation 10 min
  • Meditation 101 Exercise 4 for 10 min

Wednesday Morning Workout (Rugby Training*) 40 min
  • Warm Up Stretch 5 min
  • Jog (0.5 miles in 2 min) 2 min
  • Power Step Drill (2 sets 20 reps 20 yds) 10 min
  • Squat, Toss, and Catch (2 sets 25 reps ~3 yds) 6 min
  • Suicides (3 sets 100 yds) 10 min
  • Jog with Toss and Catch (0.25 miles in 2 min) 2 min
  • Cool Down Stretch 5 min

*Total distance covered was ~1.5 miles.

Wednesday Lunchtime Training 60 min
  • Reading Nerd Fitness 60 min


Thursday Morning Meditation 10 min

Nope, definitely didn't hurt myself. It is important to know your limits and to watch your form. If I didn't notice I had lowered the sled too far with my current maximum weight for the exercise, then I might have hurt my knees attempting the press. Good practice allowed me to recognize my knees were bent passed 90 degrees and I wouldn't be able to lift the weight and instead lowered it safely to the safety catch.

Some people tend to get stubborn, or perhaps a bit of testosterone poisoning. ;-) Glad that wasn't the case. I wish we had a leg press machine though. I like them better than squats, more controlled.

STOP! Collaborate and listen, Nick is back with a brand new conviction!

The time away from work, home, and internetz was relaxing and beautiful, but it always reminds me that I need a regular routine to keep productive. It's good to be back to the grind. Below is a summary of my activity over the ten day span, none of which I'll be counting for my Integrative Activity.
  • Meditation 101 Exercise 4
  • Lots of Stretching
  • Jogging
  • Pushups, Situps, Dual Leg Lifts, and Squats
  • Dips with Abdominal Crunch
  • Reading "Lost Tribe of the Sith"
  • Swimming in pool with my children (lots of lifts, throws, and catches)
  • Teaching my kids how to swim
  • Digging in the sand
  • Biking
  • Walking
  • Swimming
  • Boogie Boarding
  • Throwing football in the ocean
  • Running in rough ocean waves (as Mr Myagi would say, "Learn balance!")
  • Pool Volleyball, Football, Wrestling, and Soccer (yes, and soccer)
  • Billards, Ping Pong, and Foosball
  • Golf
