"Joy can be real only if people look on their life as a service, and have a definite object in life outside themselves and their personal happiness." --Count Leo Tolstoy
What does service mean to you? Do you do it with joy or out of a sense of duty? If you act from duty, chances are that you have personal needs that have not been met. Serve yourself and you will be more inspired to serve others. As with all of life, there's always a balance to be found.
Meeting the genuine needs of others brings meaning and fulfillment to our lives. Give and be in service unconditionally and feel the joy that can occur.
What are some ways that you can be more in service?
