April 2015

I apologize for not keeping up with the newsletter. New parenthood is far more demanding than I expected. I'm sure the parents out there are nodding right now! Therefore this will be another shorter newsletter as I didn't ask for submissions from others and our normal column from Boom is on hold while her computer is broken.

For those interested in some older writings, Setanaoko posted the archives of the Force Realist magazine which was written in 2009 and 2010. There are articles from members in various communities which are of interest. Take a look! http://instituteforjedirealiststudies.org/forum/1-general-discussion/31098-force-realists-magazine-archived

Falon, aka Roz, has created a group on facebook called the Jedi Community Action Group. The group is a working group for those commited to political causes/community service in the Jedi Community. It is designed to provide information as well as to promote action that inspires change. Voting is underway to choose a focus for the next three months. Join in here. https://www.facebook.com/groups/jedicsp/

Finally, as my daughter turned 2 months Friday, I'd like to share some pictures. Hopefully they brighten your day.

2015 Jedi Gathering Flyer

This is a reminder that the Jedi Gathering in Colorado is coming up soon! Our focus is on increasing your connection to the Force and helping to strengthen the connections between Jedi. This isn't limited to members of IJRS, so it's a great opportunity to meet other Jedi. Not to mention, the front range of the Rocky Mountains is a beautiful place. We'll be close to Rocky Mountain National Park, and that drive is awe inspiring to me, as it follows a river through high canyon walls. But, for those who can't make it, either due to scheduling or finances, you can receive recordings and watch most of the gathering through live stream. I'm very excited about this aspect. We have some new seminars that have never been presented to the Jedi community. By signing up for the live stream you'll receive these seminars and can refer back to them anytime you wish. Plus, it's only $30! Registration is at the same location as the in person attendance. If you have questions, don't hesitate to drop me (Jax) a line.
