Healthy relationships include all levels of engagement, including disagreements. The key is understanding how to keep them amiable. Who says fighting can't be silly?

And, isn't it most of the time between friends? lol.

“If you are unsure of a course of action, do not attempt it. Your doubts and hesitations will infect your execution. Timidity is dangerous:"

Cutting out and focusing on that first part may be taking it out of context. I am going to do it anyways.

Many know I am trying to figure out what the next step in my life is. I thought I wanted to do one thing, I took steps towards it. Then at some point I caught myself saying "Blaster Bolts what the hell am I doing?" I realized that I was going to go into it with doubts and hesitations, that it wasn't the right course of action for me right now. I was too unsure.
When I took my current job 2 years ago, I was unsure if it was the right course of action. I hesitated for a long time. When I finally did apply and accept the job I had a fire under me because I got screwed by my previous job. I was unsure but I was not timid. I was perhaps not bold, but I wasn't timid. I just did it.

Great quote. A great expansion for "Do or Do Not. There is no try."

I think it's ok to look at that segment. I'm glad you did it! That's really what this quote is saying in the end too.

It isn't telling you to back off (necessarily). I think Greene actually wants us to go in the other direction. If you are unsure about something... BECOME sure about it. lol.

Connor, I understand what you are saying, but approach it from the outsider perspective. If someone didn't know you two, and that it wasn't in good fun, they would instead see two faculty members bickering for no reason. It's easily misunderstood and turns people off. We need to be mindful of how easily our words in print our misunderstood and how they can create the complete opposite affect as what is really going on.

In any case, continue with the original topic...

well, there are two quotes that go well with this that I keep in my thoughts often, one was already quoted, and can be found in my tagline, the other is:

Mr. Miyagi wrote: Walk on road, hm? Walk left side, safe. Walk right side, safe. Walk middle, sooner or later, [makes squish gesture] get squish just like grape.

Commit to do, or don't commit, but if you hang out in the middle, sooner or later a Mack truck is going to come by and flatten you.
