David (Phoenix) created the topic: Personal Learning Plan

Decided to make it a generic thread so that its here for when people get to this point.

I finished reading through the Introduction workbook, and completed all the exercises.  Now I need to discuss with a faculty member my 'Personal Learning Plan'.

Do you prefer to do this via chat or email, Phoenix?

I was going to say chat, but maybe email would be nice because then there is a record of what is said, especially for my poor memory :-[

I'll email you!

I'm also in need of the Personal Learning Plan. I think this would be easier done by email since my computers all suck and it's practically impossible to use any kind of chat.  :-\

Dineara, I'll send you an email tonight (and if I don't, yell at me because it means I over multi-tasked and lost sight of the task lol).

I started with Kagne's PLP today, just so everyone is aware.

Well it looks like I am now at the point where I need to start developing a PLP. E-mail is probably the easiest way to connect to me, though sometimes I am available on chat.

Well Memnoich, I'm happy to communicate via email but you need to at least start the process with a draft.

Hi Jedi Phoenix,

I have gone through the initial book I received and I must say I am pleased at the work and care that has one into your efforts here. Thank you all for the work you have started here.

I would like to discuss a PLP with someone. Many of the activities that were mentioned have already been part of my life since (as Obi-Wan said to Luke) "Before you were born."  It is interesting that in the context of being a Jedi I don't mind aging at all. With years come wisdom (while wisdom doesn't require age - as I have seen again and again - it did require years and experience for me.  I can be a bit hardheaded and sometimes it has led itself to a slow learning curve LOL).  As for aging in general it has surprised me that my mindset as a Jedi is so different.  When I get caught up in societal activities I get hit in the face with the "cult of youth" but as a Jedi age seems to come more gracefully.  There are so many commercials in our society that lead us to fight against aging (but, I am rambling today.  Must be the family situation.)

I love the energy and enthusiasm in all of the folks here.  It has just occurred to me that being unable to hear my tone of voice the above can come off completely different than I wish to be.  Age is somewhat irrelevant but as I have lost both of my parents and a few friends and my brother lays dying of cancer in the hospital this age thing has become apparent to me.  It is now clear that I have more years behind me than I do ahead of me.  That has really been a key factor in what used to be one of my many vices: procrastination.

I really want to see the Jedi movement grow and flourish before I shuffle away from this mortal coil.

May the Force be With Us All
