A friend over on Facebook posted this and I thought it a very 'Jedi' way of thinking...

Life is relative.

If a healthy, able-bodied person learns to do twelve consecutive back-flips, we find that very impressive (because it is!)

If a person who has lost one leg learns to dance, we find that very impressive (because it is!)

So, if a person who is battling depression, anxiety or any other mental suffering manages to stand up, get out of bed, interact with people, go to work and so on, we should be impressed too, because in that realm that is indeed a feat.

What might be easy for one person can often be difficult for others, not because one is less successful than the other, but because each lives in a very different reference frame.

We are all stationed upon different designs, and we may differ in our standings, but what we do all have is the right to celebrate our own achievements and victories, no matter how small they may seem in comparison to others.

This isn’t a race, but a form of self-discovery and acceptance.

Physical, mental, or spiritual obstacles -- Jedi have 'those' just like anyone else.
It is how we face those obstacles that determines our life going forward.

So true! And a reminder of why I don't support universal standards for Jedi. It's all about relative growth, in many different areas.

Nothing to add here than that life itself is our very personal and individual journey and no other person than us can do this journey, our journey and therefore no one else shall be allowed to judge it as they haven’t experienced what we did and went through the things we gone through. We only can help each other with the experience we got in our lives and congratulate us on what every one of us has and can achieve in one’s very personal and individual life.
