and if bound behind? I wonder if there is something similar. But there's so much less movement. Hmm...Hopefully the bad guys aren't learning about this. lol Certainly interesting.

I read the title of this post as "Duct Tape Buildings"; far more amusing, but far less useful. Perhaps that means it's time to get off the computer.

Duct Tape Buildings....

That makes sense since so many have made wallets to prom dresses & suits with the stuff.

I've seen a pretty cool geodesic dome made from cardboard and duct tape... although I'm not certain how it held up against rain and/or snow.

Baru...I was reading some of the comments on the video, they suggest flipping your arms in front of you, either through sitting down and bringing your arms over your knees or something like that...sadly I am not nearly fit enough to even try it, so if it was behind my back I would kinda be stuck...

Nasty as it sounds -- pee on it. Duct Tape never seems to work right once it's wet. Of course, HOW you arrange to do that is almost as tricky as working your hands from behind your back, etc.

With the proviso "it depends"...

Certain types -- some that some police units use, etc. -- are a heavier duty type and some even have micro cables embedded to keep them from being so easy to defeat. But, if it's lame-o thin junk from the dollar store? You can pop those babies just like the duct tape video.

The link below shows several videos on single and multiple 'looped' zip tie breaks as well as shimmimg; friction sawing, etc.
