I'll expand these guidelines as needed, and welcome comments.

Role: Assistant Instructor

Purpose: All knights are expected to teach the next generation of Jedi. To gain experience with this, a knight candidate will spend a minimum of 6 months as an active Assistant Instructor. During this time they will learn techniques to mentor students while giving back to the community.

Minimum Expectation:
Monitor assigned course to respond to assignments in a timely manner. (Subscribe to the course boards to not miss anything.)
Learn how to mentor, teach, and facilitate by asking questions and sharing references in the advanced training area.

Bonus Expectation:
Reach out to students who don't post in the course for two weeks.
Reach out to faculty or Principals when the instructor doesn't respond for a week.

Instructor Expectation:
In addition to responding to student assignments, provide feedback on the quality of AI work.

When an Assistant Instructor (AI) is assigned, the announcement will be made in the corresponding training area.
