7/15/16 TGIF! Friday is here at last!
Went to see the new Ghostbusters movie tonight followed by a long walk downtown on a muggy summer evening. Morning walk to work was glorious.
New Mussar virtue to work on is Humility, taking no more and no less than one's rightful place in the world and having healthy self esteem, very fitting for a Jedi in training.
Also began reading a new book (new to me, that is) by Dr. Bruce Lipton. More on that later.
Signing off, tomorrow is all about spoiling my mom rotten! :thanks

I am that I am, the Peace.

7/16 Saturday
Spent the day with mom checking out the farm stands. I love berry season! Got in several hours of walking today and my feet are ready to divorce my body right now.
Managed to make a small batch of strawberry freezer jam, blueberry jam, and a mix of blackberry and marionberry jam. Have not done that for years and the updated products on the market give me no excuse anymore.
Stuck on my Wikitree project, need to dig further into the Tsalagi (Cherokee) registries. Also hard to access Bulgarian side but it is possible. It's like my ancestors are asking me to find them.
Did a ghost hunt tonight. Nothing visual but got some possible EVP's. Will review further in broad daylight.
Goodnight. Stay safe and well out there.

7/17 Sunday
Today was mondo cleaning day. Took a few hours and still have more to do.
Got in an hour long walk indoors, too muggy to be outside comfortably.
Watched a DVD special from CNN that a friend ran off for me- it was tech in the 1980's. Had to smile as memory lane reminded me of those huge expensive monster cellphones and boxy computers, not to mention allowance quarters spent on Ms. Pacman and the Star Wars video game. Did Bill Gates and Paul Allen ever look that young and fresh faced?

7/18 Monday
Time to get out of the house and go to work! Later!

I am that I am, the Love of Spirit.
I am that I am, the Peace.
I am that I am, the Joy.
Namaste!

7/18 Monday - to continue:
Did two weight circuits at the gym, 20 minutes of calisthenics, and 20 minutes cycling. Also walked 40 minutes yesterday.
Ate a lot of berries and veggies today...
Halfway through Dr. Bruce Lipton's 'Biology of Belief'.... May have to re-read it before I can report on it.
Having an easier time with my daily dose of Millman's 'No Ordinary Moments' - Monday reading was about how 'Attachments' (aka Addictions) need to be taken care of on a Mental, Physical, and Spiritual level together at the root for long term recovery.

7/19 Tuesday:
40 minute walk this morning. Stiff and a bit tired but my muscles are feeling better. More later!

7/19 TUES ctd:
Volunteer Evening: Helped a friend clear out a section of a long-neglected basement. Spiders galore - EWWW! - Took a couple of hours, lots of up n down staircases and lifting and moving stuff around. (Found a neat old vintage erector set still in the metal box, complete... Way cool!)
Got laundry done and continued the battle with the fleas over my poor little kitties.

7/20 Wed:
Gorgeous 35 minute walk in to work this morning - and have stuck to the 'better eating plan' (so far, anyway...)
Tonight we walk the route we'll be taking on the 5K walk in August so we can get the lay of the land, so to speak.
More later...

7/20 Wed
The walk was lovely. It goes right past some old houses, just beautiful!

07/21 Thursday
Rough day. Came home, meditated, ate a light dinner, and went to bed early. 40 minutes walking in a.m., did my calesthenics and stretches. Picked some wonderful little apples off a gracious neighbor's tree.

7/22 Friday
40 minutes walking this morning. Saw gorgeous Monarch butterfly and the park rose bushes are in full bloom.
Put in 20 minutes guitar practice and played actively with the cats for 30 minutes.
Ate too much Mexican food today but that's alright. I don't have it too often due to my salty/crunchy trigger.
Forgot how meditative and mindful playing guitar can be.

Have a blessed weekend, everybody, and May the Force be with you.
I am taking a tech fast for 48 hours starting at midnight tonight to put my house in order and be with friends and family. See you Monday! :obiwan

I like Dan Millman's no excuses approach and his views on fitness and nutrition as part of spiritual wellness and growth.
Checking out the 4 Hour Diet... Not my cup of tea, but it isn't meant for everyone. I will stick with the plan set out by my M.D. and the nutritionist. It is more like Richard Simmons food mover plan which also really works for me.
