hello :meditate
thank you Jedi Phoenix and Jax for the great advice, it really helped.

i would like to share a whats been going on in life the past few weeks.
so, in studying matters.
i've had so far 5 exams, i'll have to retake two subjects (prehistoric and Roman archeology).
at the moment i'm working on a home exam, on unconventional behavior (our teacher made a reference to star wars when he was talking about betrayal, he is a great tracher).

life matters,
those past few weeks have been really difficult, mainly because of the exams but not only.
as to what happend in the skeptic community, we've been having alot of managging problems. basicly the person who was the head of the organization quite, a couple of mounth ago. so we were starting to talk about what are we going to do next. i've written some ideas, mostly they refer to being more organized, like mounthly updates, mailing lists of all of the people involved, having a real meeting....
and former head of the organization had understood wht i was writing as criticism. she thinks i was saying they didnt do anything...even though i specifically wrote that i didnt. and other people not only agreed with me but they allso wrote me in privet that i sould ignore her and i will. the biggest problem is that i cant go to the meeting they are trying to arrange...
i feel like this is taking more then it should, but i'll keep organizing lectures for now.
i've two planned, one for August and anouther for September. :-)

more life matters,
i have some good news. my boyfiend and i are moving in together. he was accepted in the hebrew university, for an M.A. in math.
i am so happy, because he lives about and hour a half drive away from me, so we see each other every weekend...its not easy.
but mostly, i'm really happy to get away from my parents. they arent very supportiv.
but we also have a problem, because hardly share anything with my parents i havent told them that we are moving in the first of September. so they planned a trip to England and now i have no idea how are going to move my things to the new partmeant :-(
i'll think of something....somebody has to have a car somewhere....

jedi practice,

i dont know if this would count for anything but i've been meditating alot.
specificly on "there is no chaos, there is harmony".
my mind is in clutter, and i've been finding it very hard to keep focus.....
but after starting to write more, it helped a littel....

so, thank you and have a wonderfull day/ night :-)

In the midst of exams, there's little else you can do. No worries. :-)

Would you explain to us your meditation practice? Time of day? How long? What style?

Thanks. :)

ok :-)

so i most of times i meditat before i go to sleep. on my bed or on chair or some times on a blanket on the floor.
i used the technique from headspace. which means i try not to clear my mind but to let all my thoughts just flow.
then what would happen is that when i feel like i'm starting to relax something jumps to my attention and i stop....and cant seem to begin again....
it takes me longer to fall sleep, even though i am really tired....i think its stress....

Oh! Headspace is a fantastic technique. Very nice.

What would happen if you were to get up five minutes earlier and sit up and meditate before the day begins?

There are "patterns" and there is "discipline".

I imagine you've made a pattern of your meditation. Which is good. You need pattens in your life.

Patterns, continued with deep thought, create discipline. When you find your discipline, you can move your meditation around every few days. Experiment with it by creating new patterns, but not losing the point of it all.

Making something that is currently "static" into a dynamic exercise can lead to greater introspection and benefit. :D

hello :-)
i wanted to share this poem with you, its result of reading a discussion about what the jedi philosophy teaches about war.

I can't tell you how death looks like,
I can't tell you much about war,
I can't write for you about courage,
I won't describe sacrifice for you,
But will tell you, that those who can,
Those who will, weren’t the ones fighting wars,
They were the ones who create them.

every line has something to do with an experience i had, i hope you enjoy :meditate
