  • Light Jog on a paved path with moderate inclines and declines 20 min
  • Cool Down and Stretch 5 min
  • Bench Press 10 min (6 reps 100 lbs, 3 reps 110 lbs, 3 reps 120 lbs, 5 reps 100 lbs)
  • Cool Down Stretch 2 min

UPDATE 3/14/12: Without knowing it, I achieved my Bench Press goal stated in my PLP. I guess I set that too low. New Bench Press goal is 3 reps of 160 lbs. I also evaluated my Leg Press goal and decided I "could" have meet that today. New Leg Press goal is 3 reps 600 lbs. Here's hoping I set them too low again!

Also, I signed up to do my "Ice Breaker" speech next week. My speech will be an introduction of me to my fellow Toastmasters. I'm not sure what exactly I should talk about (kids, football, rugby, career, school, Jedi, refereeing, coaching, likes, dislikes, etc), but I know the format and I have a week to prepare.

Thanks for all the links in there Nick, that's very helpful. I'll have to explore them more. I donated to Calum yesterday. I'm very impressed that anyone would go across the world and ride a bike to raise money for needy kids.

My youngest daughter woke up twice last night and vomited. Not fun clean up. So I ended up sleeping in and missing my workout, and getting to work a little later than usual. I'll take it as my rest day, I guess, because I won't have time in the evening to fit in a workout.

Toastmasters Ice Breaker Speech
I decided to talk about my love for sports, knowledge, and family while describing how they define who I am.
My love for sports defines my desire to remain in peak physical fitness while continually testing my physical toughness. My thrist for knowledge pushed me through school while expanding my areas of study to a dual Bachelors, then all the way to a Masters degree. Today, it drives me to study philosophical and science literature which I never thought I'd have the background to comprehend. Lastly, my love for family has contributed to how I treat all living beings how I would wish to be treated. I promote equality and fairness, offer forgiveness without question, and treat all friends and guests as if they are part of my family. Most importantly, my love for family contributed to my marriage, my fatherhood, and my desire to teach, instruct, and mentor children and my peers.
These topics are not only easy to talk about, but will really invite the audience into my life and introduce who I am. Now, I just have to figure out how to fit it all into a 6 minute speech, practice said speech enough that I am not reading it off a piece of paper, and cool my nerves for when I am at the podium in front of mostly complete strangers. :unsure:
