I actually completed it years ago and am just re-reading. I've made plenty of notes as well, but haven't compiled them on the computer yet. Maybe a project I can work on this weekend. I certainly recommend it.

Diagnosed with a sinus infection, so I'm on Amoxicillin 875 mg and Clavulanate Potassium 125 mg. My ear was clogged with fluid so I'm on Pseudophedrine HCl 40 mg and Guaifenesin 400 mg. It drained well, so less pain, but still stuff and hard to hear.

Day off from workout. My body needed a little extra recovery time and I know I'll be doing some heavy lifting at work today.

Integrative Activity 60 min
Thursdays, I take my daughter to dance class. While she is in class, I sit with the other parents. We talk every so often, but mostly I just play Angry Birds. This week, I decided to skip the birds and read. I began reading "The Lost Tribe of the Sith" book series, because it was free on the Amazon Kindle Android app. Read for 1 hour.

I will also add a few more distant goals, which are linked to my children’s development (my two padawan learners), and not necessarily Jedi goals, but more outreach goals.
• I would like to have established at least one activity involving my family contributing to some form of community service by 2013-09-01
• I would like to be coaching a youth sport by 2015-03-01
• I’d like everyone in my family to take a self defense course by 2018-03-01

Obstacles you face in achieving those Goals:

Maintaining my Training Journal and Schedule once the summer hits. Vacations can throw a wrench in my schedule for a few days, and then getting back on track can take time. I want to avoid getting off schedule at all.

Solutions to those Obstacles:

Get to bed early and wake up early, even when on vacation. I’ll need to use more time reading something useful and less time watching TV or playing video games.

It will allow the user to enter in activity information and link to blog or journal webpages for easy tracking while automatically calculating hours per activity and hours required for next rank. I am making it a template with user instructions so that other IJRS members can take advantage of it.

I will be updating my weekend training on Mondays, because I don't get online much while at home.

Saturday Workout 30 min
  • Stretch 5 min
  • Alternating push ups, sit ups, leg lifts, and calf raisers (4 sets of 25, 50, 30, and 60 seconds up, 60 seconds down, respectively) 20 min
  • Cool Down Stretch 5 min

Saturday Training 30 min
  • Reading "The Tao of Star Wars" 30 min

Sunday Workout 30 min
  • Stretch 5 min
  • Alternating push ups, sit ups, leg lifts, and calf raisers (4 sets of 25, 50, 30, and 60 seconds up, 60 seconds down, respectively) 20 min
  • Cool Down Stretch 5 min

Sunday Training 60 min
  • Attended Church with family 60 min

Church
The sermon was titled "Spring Cleaning". The preacher described a dream she "had" about a crazy man breaking into the sanctuary and throwing everything inside out the doors. Pews, bibles, hymnals, musical instruments, decorations, clergy and choir robes, everything no matter how heavy, how secure, or how sacred was thrown out doors and windows. She was very vivid with he descriptions drawing the listener in to the dream. As it turns out, the crazy man was Jesus. He was purging the sanctuary of all the trifling materials so that the only thing which mattered in the eyes of Jesus would be in the church... the people.
She pulled the lesson from the book of John, but I can't recall the verses. It was a good sermon, and this little church, as well as the one my family attended in Massachusetts, follow it well. Everyone knows eachother and gets along. Fellowship following church is like a cocktail hour with coffee instead of cocktails. Charity within the congregation flows naturally from worship and fellowship. However, larger churches which we have attended clearly miss the lesson above. The larger churchs practically put on a show with high tech visual and audio devices, gaudy decorations, expensive furnishings, etc. The fellowship hour after church is sparsely attended with little discussion as it seems like everyone just wants to get on with their day. Charity within the congregation seems to be forced upon them through peer pressure. My wife and I feel uncomfortable in large churches for a lot of reasons and this is certainly one of them.
