I will be updating my weekend training on Mondays, because I don't get online much while at home.

Saturday Morning Workout* 20 min
  • Stretch 3 min
  • Alternating push ups, sit ups, lying dual leg lifts (4 sets of 25, 50, 20) 15 min
  • Cool Down Stretch 2 min

*I didn't get up early enough to get to the track. My family is away this week though, so I'll be able to take an afternoon or evening to do my sprints. I'm looking at Monday or Tuesday night.

Saturday Training 10 min
  • Meditation 101 Exercise 3 Meditation 10 min

Sunday Morning Workout 20 min
  • Stretch 3 min
  • Alternating push ups, sit ups, lying dual leg lifts (4 sets of 25, 50, 20) 15 min
  • Cool Down Stretch 2 min

Sunday Training 10 min
  • Meditation 101 Exercise 3 Meditation 10 min

Monday Workout 40 min
  • Stretch and Warm Up 5 min
  • Bench Press** (1 set 3 reps 160 lbs, 4 sets 3 reps 140 lbs) 10 min
  • Reverse Situp Bench (3 sets 10 reps 25 lbs) 5 min
  • Situp Bench with Medicine Ball Overhead (3 sets 10 reps 15 lbs) 5 min
  • Situp Bench Side Abdominals with Medicine Ball (3 sets 10 reps 15 lbs) 5 min
  • Squat Bar (3 sets 10 reps 60, 70, 80 lbs) 5 min

**First things first. I started with 160 lbs on the bench press and I just barely got that third rep. My arms were dead after so, 140 lbs was the best I could do and only 3 struggling reps.

*I only timed the first two sprints, which I ran at a strong, but not all out pace. They completed my goals, so I wasn't worried about pushing real hard. After my 20th sprint, I started pushing hard.

SURGERY: I have elective surgery Friday, which will effect my ability to workout and meditate. I won't be on any strong pain medication or anything, but I will be uncomfortable for about 2 weeks. My training focus for the next two weeks will center around mental training, namely, my quantum theory research and Jedi philosophy reading.

Do you categorize you different trainings on paper? LIke physical, mental and spiritual or something like that. You have a broad range of training.

In my opinion, all three have overlap, especially mind/spirit and mind/body. I find are really 6 categories for training.
  • Physical - excerise, strength and fitness training
  • Mental - academic education, intelligence
  • Spiritual - self, morals, ethics
  • Mental/Physical - quickness, reflexes, dynamic thinking and decision making
  • Mental/Spiritual - introspective thinking, existential thinking
  • Spiritual/Physical - toughness, stamina, endurance

On paper, I just use sub-categories as my focus is small, yet diverse, right now. For more advanced training, I think it would be better to use a larger scope approach.

Saturday Meditation 20 min
  • Meditation 101 Exercise 3 for 10 minutes
  • Five short 2 minute meditations. I have no pain from my surgery yet, but I do get uncomfortable and need to sit down often. I use these opportunities to meditation for a couple minutes. Usually, not too long as my kids want to hang out with me. I took a few naps too.

Saturday Training 30 min
  • Reading "The Tao of Star Wars" 30 min
  • Padawan Training 30 min

Sunday Meditation 16 min
  • Meditation 101 Exercise 3 for 10 minutes
  • Three short 2 minute meditations. I have a little pain from my surgery, but extra strength Tylenol is all I need to mitigate it. I used the breathing technique to supress the pain when it was more intense. Focusing on breathing can help with any type of distraction.
