Using power as a Jedi is like blowing into a reed for an oboe.

You have to concentrate a lot of energy on ONE place. Blow through the reed. Sound comes out in a steady stream.

This is a Jedi's connection to the Force. We concentrate by focusing and channel energy through our body. We don't just open our mouths and blow uncontrollably. We'd lose all of our air. So, we focus breath.

Think of energy the same way. We channel it by allowing ourselves to fill up with it. And, we don't just let it go. We let it flow. :)

As a Jedi, I set high standards for myself.  This can be quite challenging since one of these standards is to have respectful interactions with everyone I meet.  This includes people who do not have the same goal in mind.  To solidify my goal and increase accountability, I have created this pledge for myself.  I hope it is beneficial to all who read it.

I pledge to allow everyone the opportunity to grow and become a better person, no matter what past injuries they inflicted.

I pledge to resist overreaction to new injuries that may be inflicted.

I pledge to provide a clean slate whenever a person shows they have changed to become a better person.

I pledge to respect those around me and not knowingly inflict harm, no matter what occurred in the past.

I pledge to not project my shadows onto others, nor will I accept the projection of others’ shadows onto me.

In return, I hope every Jedi will pledge the same.  It is not easy to release past hurt, but it is the only way forward as a community. We all have our moments of darkness, but as Jedi we are required to shine a light on that darkness, transmuting our shadows to be full beings of light.  Join me in accepting this challenge.

Connor replied the topic: Re: Riddle's Repository of Recollection

It is a great night. :) I hung out with some good friends. I let myself relax. Today was just a good day. Funny enough, I cleaned a lot. I cleaned for at least 6 hours. And, I have a tad more to do tomorrow (later today). I wonder, why is it that I like to clean? What about me gives that compulsion? Is it a need to be organized? Is it a need to just have everything in the "right place"? I dunno. I mean. I can only bring myself to do it once a week. But, I love every second of it. Cleaning Fridays are amazing.

Also, I have this theory that cleaning is a type of "feng shui". Not on a major scale, but on a micromanagement scale. Putting things back where they are stored from whence they've been moved, as well as just shifting things around throws negative energy build up into the air. I think it creates a more positive atmosphere. Just a theory.

Bed calls, though. :)

Ok! I have a surprise for you all.

This is my remedy from not having time to TYPE everything out all the time. I mean, this won't replace it. But, I think I am going to do my simple LIFE updates (at least) this way. It takes less time, and it lets you get to know ME as ME better.

I'm going to finally listen to it today if I can. I got the video to work at least at work.  That's always the first hurdle.

As I watch this, I'll share some responses.
1. Your voice is deeper than I expected.
2. This is hilarious.  Do you realize you're funny? I'm quite amused. I'm easily amused. :-)
3. I think it's Zambia, rather than Zombia. No zombies in Zambia (I hope) lol
4. Cleaning is good. Breaks up the stale energy. I like cleaning, it just takes too long when you have more than 1 room. lol

I like this too - you can see the person behind the words!

***RiddleNox - are you suggesting more of us use video to increase the "realism" and interractivity in the Jedi Community?  If so - then I wholeheartedly agree.

Nice idea!

1. hahaha. Thanks. ;) I am a Baritone, not a tenor.
2. I've been told. But, it's just me being me.
3. I believe I was trying, and failing, to do some sort of African inflection on it and it just went horribly wrong. O_O haha. I'll do my inflection research before trying that again.
4. yeah! Make time, Jackie, make time.
