Who watched the eclipse? Did you get to experience totality? Share your experiences!

We had around 92% here in Colorado. That's the most I've ever seen, as the last one was a partial in jr high. We got glasses, ordered about a month ahead of time, which was definitely worth it. I had trouble getting the pinhole viewer to work with a cereal box because I tried to do it too quickly I think. We would have driven to see totality except we dropped off our friend at the airport that morning and there wasn't time. I am totally up for traveling to South America for the 2019 eclipse though!

I love the dimmer light we saw. I thought it was really trippy. I'm confused by the people who say they didn't even notice. I'm a little concerned that these people are allowed to drive! haha

I know some Jedi made it to totality, please share that with us. I only saw it on tv.

yeah, I'm up for a Jedi retreat in South America to see the totality. I'd love to plan some sort of ritual to harness whatever energies come with that.
What kind of energetic shifts do eclipses provide? I can't imagine it's much because they happen all the time.

Total solar eclipses are very rare really. I will find the info I read.

I must have my facts confused. I was led to believe one happened every few months, but they happened in areas like over the ocean where nobody was. But, maybe I was reading about partial eclipses and both solar/lunar ones.

As I’m not with you in the USA I, quite obviously, haven’t witnessed this one but I experienced one back in, I think it had been 1999, here in Europe. At that year I still lived back home in Salzburg, Austria. The eclipse happened around lunch time, if I remember correctly and when it reached its peak it had been a very surreal feeling/experience. Not only got it could and dark but also close to a complete silence. No birds, no animals and even us busy humans became silence and to a sort of standstill to witness what was going on.
This experience will, for sure, stay in my mind and memories forever! :)

The best part is it's December which is the middle of summer there, yet close enough to the south pole to have reasonably nice weather.
