JohnRoss00 created the topic: Short Books that are inspirational

Hi,
I'm wondering whether anyone can recommend books that are inspirational, page turners, fictional, and non-fictional (basically anything under 150-200 pages)?
One book I would like to recommend is The Alchemist. Great read, and very inspirational!
All the best,

Way of the Peaceful Warrior. I don't know the page count, but even with my crazy schedule, I got through it in under a week.

I'm moving this to a more appropriate board...

And I'd add the Power of Now, which is surprisingly short.

"The Lazy Man's Guide To Enlightenment" by Thaddeus Golas (1971) (it can also be found online and as a pdf)

"The Prophet" by Kahlil Gibran

"The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch (206 pages but well worth it)

"Jonathan Livingston Seagull" by Richard Bach

Seconding Kahlil Gibran's "The Prophet". Also adding to the list "Men Explain Things to Me" by Rebecca Solnit, the Tao Te Ching, "The Heart of Understanding" by Thich Nhat Hanh, and Pablo Neruda's "The Book of Questions".

Kai-An, I have only read the Tao. Any chance you can do a short writeup on any of these and put them in the book review section?

That goes for everyone else as well. If there's already a review on a particular book, please add your thoughts as well. Most of us have long lists of books to read, and reviews can bump a book higher on the list. :-)
